What is laser shadow or pepper spots?

If you've had hair removal by laser you may later see a shadow, or dark spots, appearing to come from under the skin, even years after your last laser session. These are hairs that were growing but not removed, and will not fall out.

The surrounding tissue will never absorb these leftover hairs.
